Literature Text

Release your dark side
To me, it's beautiful
Trail your claws across my chin
Let your fangs pierce my skin
The crimson blood is painted
Your eyes gleam with unholy light

Everyone has a dark side
Some hidden better than others
Yours is gone, asleep with the light
But it awakes fully during the night
You abhor it and try never to release it
But I think it's beautiful

It's the light that gleams off a blade
It's the graceful dance of skin and steel
It's the paint of blood on the canvas of flesh
It's the way teeth and neck can mesh
It's the subtle reds of torn muscle
It's the release that comes of pain

When the night falls your darkness awakes
Try as you might you can't keep it away
Release it. Let it free.
It's beautiful to me.
I wanted to put this under romantic, because to me it is romantic, but I don't want it to get deleted, so I can't :grumble: Anyway: Yes, I have a dark side, as you can tell by this poem. Unlike some people, I embrace my dark side. The person to whom I wrote this tries to kill thier dark side and have only released it once, which is what gave me the idea for this poem.
